Welcome to “2014 NFL Draft: Overshadowed Quarterbacks” sports blog. My name is Mike Garland, and I’m a student at Elon University. As a NE Patriots fan, I am a huge advocate of Tom Brady. Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL draft – having 6 quarterbacks being drafted in front of him. He got virtually no publicity, and the idea of this blog is to potentially pick out future Tom Brady’s in the upcoming draft. The blog will have continual updates on later-round quarterbacks and any potential rank changes, meetings with teams, and general updates with their draft status. I’ll post links to articles and mock drafts (with spotlights on later round QB’s). Feel free to follow me on twitter @bradyorbust and use the hashtag #BradyOrBust to keep up with the conversation!

As noted before, this blog will attempt to pick out future successful quarterbacks that receive minimal spotlight (AKA quarterbacks that are not named Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, and Blake Bortles). Although there seems to be some dispute as to where/when  these 3 guys will get drafted, they seem to be the most talked about QB’s in the draft class of 2014. So, the focus will be directed elsewhere. I’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts, so feel free to comment or tweet on posts! Let’s get it going…
